NES Series EMER-FLEX Couplings Launched

High Performance Compact Disk Couplings

Tsubaki Emerson Co. (President: Hideo Miyazaki; Head Office: Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture; Subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Chain Co.) announced today the sales launch of a new series of compact disk couplings, the NES Series EMER-FLEX Couplings.

NES Series EMER-FLEX Couplings

There are a number of types of couplings, including disk, rubber, and rigid types, and each is used for different applications. Disk couplings are compact precision couplings used mainly for connecting compact servo motors and stepping motors. The NES Series EMER-FLEX Couplings feature exceptionally high torsion, the most important element to driving motors. In addition, the hub and spacer of the coupling are made of super duralumin to ensure compactness and low-inertia momentum. With high responsiveness and compliance, the new coupling is ideal for high-precision motion control applications like semiconductor and FPD manufacturing equipment, industrial robots, machine tools, and chip mounters. The new series is RoHS-compliant, containing absolutely no hexavalent chromium, lead, mercury, cadmium or other materials restricted by the European directive.

(1) Features

  1. High torsion: Increases servo motor compliance (about 120% improvement compared to a similar product of another company)
  2. Compact: Low-inertia momentum
  3. RoHS-compliant: In full compliance with EU directive restricting hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
  4. No backlash
