Prices to Be Revised for Some Power Transmission Products
Due to the sudden and ongoing increases in the prices of steel and other raw materials, Tsubakimoto Chain Co. (under its president Tatsuhiko Mimoto) has adopted the following revisions to its sales prices, effective July 1. These price revisions apply to some of our power transmission products, including various industrial chains, timing belts & pulleys, sprockets, and shaft couplings. In response to sudden price increases for oil, secondary materials, packaging, and steel (the main raw material used in power transmission products), we have implemented internal rationalization efforts such as reducing our manufacturing costs; however, further rapid increases in the prices of raw materials price since the beginning of this year surpassed what we could offset through our own cost-cutting efforts. Consequently, we have had to revise sales prices for some of our power transmission products in order to fulfill our responsibility as a stable supplier of products to our customers.

Note: Sprockets and shaft couplings are manufactured and sold by Tsubakimoto Sprocket Co., a member of the Tsubaki Group.

Effective May 7, price increases averaging 6% were applied to overload protectors and some other precision components manufactured and sold by Tsubaki Emerson Co., a member of the Tsubaki Group.
