Tsubaki Emerson Expands Lineup of Emer-Flex Coupling NES Series
Small-size Disk Couplings Made from Extra Super Duralumin
New low inertia hub, available in 56 types and 3,252 combinations of shaft bore diameters
Product Release
Tsubaki Emerson Co. (President: Tadashi Ichikawa; Headquarters: Nagaokakyo, Kyoto; A subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Chain Co.) has added a low inertia hub to its Emer-Flex coupling NES Series of small-size disk couplings, ideal for connection with servo motors. The low inertia hub improves the responsiveness of servo motors and will be released on October 1.
Emer-Flex Coupling NES Series Low Inertia Hub Combinations
(Spacer type on left, single type on right)
Tsubaki Emerson offers a full line-up of couplings from general-purpose to precision types. NES Series Emer-Flex couplings employ extra super duralumin in the hub and the spacer, and feature an optimized disk design for high torsional stiffness. These small-size couplings provide excellent trackability for servo motors, making the NES Series ideal for precision control applications.
The newly released low inertia hub was developed for improved start/stop responsiveness with servo motors and features an originally designed slit and hub geometry that achieves low moment of inertia while delivering full transmission torque at the clamp. The stepped design of the hub reduces the hub's weight and moment of inertia.
The newly added models sets the line-up of the NES Series apart from the competition by serving a wide range of needs with 56 types, including the existing types, and 3,252 combinations of shaft bore diameters.
Features
- Low moment of inertia
The hub is made of extra super duralumin for its light weight and tough durability. Original hub geometry is used to achieve low moment of inertia. - Secure clamping force delivers high torque with no backlash
Our original clamp geometry improves the clamping force on shafts. All torques are transmitted via friction coupling for no backlash, making these couplings ideal for precision positioning applications. - Easy to install
The hub can be clamped onto the shaft by simply tightening one clamp bolt on each hub. - Environmentally friendly
Meets the RoHS directive, as well as harmful chemical substance regulations JIG, PFOS, and 15 SVHCs.
Applications
- Connection to small servo motors and stepping motors for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, etc.
- Connection between servo motors and ball screws in machine tools, etc.
- Industrial robots, electronic equipment, precision instruments, etc.
