New Tsubaki KV150 top chain released
Heat-resistant plastic chain for use in high-temperature environments of up to 150°C
Cost efficient type added to heat-resistant chain
Tsubakimoto Chain (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan. President: Isamu Osa) has announced the release of the KV150, a new addition to its KV series of plastic top chains that can be used in high temperature environments of up to 150°C.

Tsubaki uses conveyor technology from its experience developing conveyor chains and systems to offer a wide variety of plastic chains to suit a range of applications. The KV150 is the latest addition to the KV series, a heat-resistant, high-speed plastic chain that can be used in high-temperature environments of up to 150°C.
Generally, in conveyor processes in high-temperature environments, metal chain conveyors are employed, however, materials tend to slide easily on these conveyors and they had the drawback of easily causing friction scratches.
The newly released KV150 is kind to conveyed products because it is made out of plastic, and it is also light and easy to handle. Moreover, as it is light, it requires less motive power, which helps reduce environmental footprint. The affordable KV150 is a no-nonsense plastic chain that is perfect for situations where heat resistance is required, but where employing a high-performance chain like the KV250 or KV180 would be excessive.
Features
- Heat resistance
The KV150 is a plastic chain that can be used to carry very hot items and in high-temperature environments of up to 150°C. It also features low dimensional change due to changes in temperatures.
(General purpose plastic chain can be used at temperatures of up to 80°C.) - Durability at high-speeds
Features excellent fatigue resistance compared to general purpose plastic chain and can be used at speeds of up to 200 m/min.
(General purpose plastic chain can be used at speeds of up to 50 m/min.) - Conductivity
Generally, plastic chains are more susceptible to static than metal chains. The KV series has excellent conductivity characteristics, and can discharge static as it builds up, making it particularly suited to high-speed conveyance of electronic components.
*Conveyor systems must have a grounding mechanism installed in order to make use of the chain's conductivity performance. - Economical
The KV150 comes at an affordable price that makes it perfect for situations where heat resistance is required, but where employing a high-performance chain like the KV250 or KV180 would be excessive.
