Tsubakimoto Chain Co. contracts with FlexLink of Sweden to promote their unique conveying systems in the Japanese domestic market
Tsubakimoto Chain Co. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan, President: Mr. Isamu Osa) made a sales contract for the Japanese domestic market with FlexLink (Headquarters: Göteborg, Sweden, CEO: Mr. Mattias Perjos) and will start promoting their unique systems that convey goods in three dimensions, starting July 1.
Purpose of Sales Contract
Tsubakimoto Chain Co. has two main business areas; Power Transmission Parts, which includes roller chains for various industries, and Materials Handling Systems. From April this year the company has been developing and strengthening another new business area called Module Business, which is positioned between these two business areas.
FlexLink is a leading, global production logistics supplier that provides material and information flow management solutions to assembly and manufacturing industries. The conveyor systems and components they promote include standardized plastic chain conveyors using aluminum frames. FlexLink is capable of providing 3-D inclined conveying systems to meet various requirements of customers. Their expanding production and global sales networks have a very strong position which the company estimates hold an approximate 50% share of the aluminum frame and plastic chain conveyor business area.
The strategic partnership to make a sales contract with FlexLink will increase the product line-ups of Tsubaki's Module Business and will meet various conveying needs for production processes, parts supply, logistics and distribution through the supply of FlexLink packages combined with Tsubaki's other Module Business products such as Zip Chain Lifter and O-Carry Units.

Major Features of FlexLink systems
- Flexible conveying systems
More than 10,000 standard units and components are available and this combination will enable a lot of flexibility to meet requirements for liner, round, inclined and vertical movement, pallet and buffer conveying. For example, it is possible to save space when installing chains with a minimum side bending radius of 160mm, and to carry various sized goods vertically by adjusting the guide width. - Easy layout change
It is possible to reduce the designing process dramatically when changing conveying lines due to the combination of standard units and components. Light weight aluminum frames are beneficial for conveying layouts that use overhead hanging configurations. - Longer lines, low noise and higher speeds
Special materials used for the chain and frame, with a low friction factor, enable longer lines that produce low noise and can run at higher speeds.

Target industries and applications
Light and medium weight conveyor for Automotive (bearings, engine parts), Electronics (solar panels, batteries), Fast Moving Consumer Goods (tissues, toilet paper, deodorant products) and Healthcare (medical equipment, pharmaceuticals)
