Notice regarding changes to model numbers for Couplings and Gear Motors Products Information
Model numbers for Couplings and Gear Motors will change from November 1, 2016.
To meet customers demand we will expand Fit Bore (short delivery bore finishing service) for couplings with new model numbers and review the bore finishing price for the NEF and NER Series. In addition we will change the model number of gear motors to make it simpler to specify specifications by combining the description of terminal box position and angle with the option codes.
1. Model number changes
Coupling model number changes
- Models affected: NEF, NER, and NEH Series Echt-Flex Couplings, Roller Chain Couplings
-
- Finished Bores with keyways
- We reviewed our model numbering system for finished bores with keyways and expanded the number of possible combinations to one million (1mm unit bore diameters, 9 types of bore tolerances, 4 types of keyways, and 9 kinds of tap positions for set screws).
Gear Motor model number changes
- Models affected: Gear Motors, Hypoid Motors, and Croise Motors
- We combined the supplementary code, conventionally written separately from model numbers (such as terminal box angle and position), and optional code as one model number. This change will make it possible to confirm the specifications with the model number, making it possible to clearly understand them from outer dimensional drawings and name plates.
Regarding the "-TK" notation at the end of model numbers for special products
- Models affected: All reducers
- “-TK” will be shown at the end of MTO model numbers. With this change, it will be possible to identify standard products from MTO products from the model number.
2. Changes to model numbers for Couplings and Gear Motors
Orders from November 1 will be switched to the new model numbers.
