RSP

Wide selection of chain pitches and link widths available for use in various applications.

Chain be used with roller chains and sprockets that conform to JIS standards.

We adopted UHMWPE (ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene) for the RS80 Series link material for the first time on April 1, 2019.

Notice: Integration of ULF Series with ALF Series

  • We will be integrating ULF Series Plastic Top Chain with ALF Series on orders from April 2017.
  • We will be integrating ALF Series with ULF Series Plastic Modular Chain and Plastic Block Chain on orders from June 2017.
  • Contact a Tsubaki representative for more information regarding ULF Series after integration.
  • ALF Series (ultra-low friction and wear resistant series) dramatically reduces the amount of wear debris generated from sliding with running rails (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) under non-lubricated conditions while maintaining the same ultra low coefficient of friction coefficient as the conventional ULF Series.

  • Has a smaller pitch than plastic top chain, which means it can use a smaller diameter sprocket, thereby saving space in transfer areas.
  • Uses a narrow, block shaped link that is ideal for conveying small items.
  • Multiple strands can be used in parallel, making it perfect for conveying pallets.

  • RSP40 and RSP60 series were upgraded in July 2008.

2. Upgrades

RSP40 and RSP60 plastic bock chains with stainless steel pins were upgraded in July 2008.

The shapes of RSP35 and RSP50 chains with stainless steel pins have been unified. The faces are thicker to prevent cracks and deformation, and the shape is harder to crack.
Switch from knurled connecting pins to D-pins
The D-pin reduces damage to the connecting are (pin hole) and prevents problems with pins falling out.

Upgraded models cannot be connected to older types. When replacing, be sure to replace the chain as one unit.

3. Plastic Rails for RSP80 Series

Plastic rails for RSP80 Series was newly added on June 1, 2018.*Note 1

  • Note 1: We recommend using stainless steel (cold-rolled steel) for the running rails for RSP80-UPE. We do not recommend using UHMWPE (ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene) as it is the same material as the chain.
