Snap Cover Chain

Steel chain used in combination with plastic covers.

Features a high allowable load while minimizing scratches to items placed directly on the chain for conveyance.

Base chain specifications:

  • Standard series
  • NP Series (nickel plating)
  • Lambda Series (lube-free)
  • SS Series (SUS304)
Snap Cover Chain

1.Features

  • Has a higher allowable load than plastic block chain (7x RSP60 for RS60-SC), making it ideal for long conveyor layouts.
  • Uses plastic for the covers that directly convey items, thereby preventing scratches on the items.
  • Selection of six chain pitches available for use in a wide variety of applications.

2. Construction and connecting links

The connecting links are designed especially for Snap Cover Chains.

  • Connecting link plates can be removed because plastic covers are attached.
  • Be aware that Snap Cover Chain cannot use standard connecting links (cotter pins/spring clips).

3. Reference Number System

Reference Number System
  1. (1) Chain size: RF06B, RS40, RS50, RS60, RS80, RS100
  2. (2) Base chain specs: Blank = Standard series, NP = NP series, LMC = Lambda series, LM = Lambda series (for RF06B only), SS = SS Series
  3. (3) Model: SC = Snap Cover Chain
  4. (4) Plastic cover material: A = Standard series, E = Electroconducive series
  5. (5) *CL is used only when there are connecting links.

Used in general applications. Connecting links can be easily identified.* Used to prevent dust from clinging to the chain from static electricity, and to prevent electrical noise and sparks.
(Volume resistivity 1 x 10 6 Ω·cm)

Cannot be used in conjunction with Electroconducive Series in order to preserve its electroconducive properties.
