2. Two types of safety mechanisms for U Series Power Cylinders
Two types are available, depending on the safety mechanism
B type (with wet slip clutch)
A wet slip clutch is built in at the end of the reducer screw shaft. The use of a special lining provides protection during overloads.

C type (with thrust detection unit )
A thrust detection spring unit is built in to the bracket. It is effective during push/pull stopping or when electrical signals are required during overloads.

The 50 ton type with thrust detection unit cannot be regularly used for push/pull stops. Use this type as a safety device.

- 1. This cylinder may be damaged during overstrokes. At minimum, we recommend attaching this OP (for position control).
- 2. Please specify 4 or more mountings separately.
- 3. Cannot combine with clevises and K2, K4, P, and R.

When replacing the T series
U Series N type models compatible with the T Series mounting dimensions are available. Since the N type more than triples the expected travel distance of the ball screw over previous models, it contributes to reduced cylinder replacement frequency.
