Double Pitch Chain with outboard rollers
- A free flow chain using a Double Pitch Chain base with an extended pin with freely rotating outboard rollers attached.
- Since numerous rollers can be installed, Outboard Roller Chain is suitable for conveyors on which small objects are placed directly.
- We have a lineup of Standard specifications, Lambda (lube-free) specifications, and SS (stainless steel) specifications.
- *We also manufacture NP specifications (nickel plating), so please contact us.
Features
- ・Outboard rollers allow for a compact conveyor.
- ・The ability to flex backwards allows easy layout on the return side.
- ・Multiple outboard rollers can be installed, making the chain ideal for conveyors where small items are directly conveyed on the outboard rollers.

About each specification
Standard Series
- ・The base chain is steel, with R rollers available in steel or plastic.
- Steel roller
- ・All parts are steel that has been heat treated for hardness.
- ・Operating Temperature Range :-10℃~150℃
- ・Requires additional lubrication
- Engineering plastic R rollers
- ・30% lighter than steel rollers, 5 - 7dB quieter
- ・Running resistance (30% less running resistance
than steel chains) - ・Operating Temperature Range :-10℃~80℃
- ・Additional lubrication is required between pins and bushes. Engineering plastic rollers are white.
Lambda (Lube-free) specifications
- ・Uses special sintered oil-impregnated bushes for lube-free, long life operation.
※Lubrication is required on steel outboard rollers. - ・While it has the same allowable load as standard series, the inner and outer plates have been treated with a black oxide coating for identification purposes.
- ・Operating Temperature Range :-10℃~150℃
- ・Avoid use around chemicals or in water, or in washing/degreasing applications.
- ・Available up to RF2060.
- ・Outboard rollers available in engineering plastic (plastic rollers, plastic brake rollers, electroconductive rollers) and steel.
SS (Stainless Steel) specifications
- ・All parts use 18-8SUS(SUS304 equivalent) stainless steel for corrosion resistance, except for the pin which uses precipitation hardened stainless steel.
- ・Stainless steel S rollers and plastic or stainless steel double pitch R rollers available.
- Steel roller
- ・Base chain and base chain rollers are stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
- ・Operating Temperature Range :-20℃~400℃
- ・Requires additional lubrication
- Engineering plastic R rollers
- ・30% lighter than steel rollers, 5 - 7dB quieter
- ・Running resistance (30% less running resistance
than steel chains) - ・Operating Temperature Range :-20℃~80℃
- ・Additional lubrication is required between pins and bushes. Engineering plastic rollers are white.

Notes
1.For the sake of convenience, the base chain is the part of the chain with the outboard rollers removed.
2.※1Steel outboard rollers require additional lubrication, even if the base chain is Lambda Chain.
3.※2 Only the pin attaching the outboard rollers to the chain is precipitation hardened stainless steel.
4.Brakes used with electroconductive rollers and when the base chain is NP Series are spring brakes.
5.Base chain rollers are S-rollers when KV Series outboard rollers are used.
6.※3If the chain base is SS specification, it will be a stainless steel roller.
When selecting sprocket specifications
It is necessary to select a sprocket specification that corresponds to the customer's operating environment and the chain specification used.
Please use standard Double pitch steel sprockets for Double pitch chain with outboard rollers.
RS sprockets can be used when the number of sprocket teeth is 30 or more with S roller.
