Freewheel Clutch

This is a "one-way clutch" that is installed in the e-bike assist unit in order to connect and disconnect the motor's assist force.
By providing the optimum specifications for each unit in a diverse lineup, the clutch contributes to the improvement of ride quality by virtue of its compact package size and light weight. It therefore allows a smaller drive unit to transmit the proper amount of assist force with high precision.

Line up

Cam & Roller Type (Radial load resistance)

  • With bearing function (radial load resistance)
→ Contributes to downsizing and weight reduction of the unit
  • Cams share the load evenly
→ Transmits assist force with high precision
  • Concentric retainer structure
→ Reduced frictional torque in idle rotation contributes to quieter operation and improved ride quality

Camcage Type

  • Superior torque transmission performance (based on our comparison test)
→ Contributes to downsizing and weight reduction of the drive unit
  • Cams share the load evenly
→ Transmits assist force with high precision

Built-in Bearing Type

  • All-in-one (inner/outer ring, cam, bearing)
→ Contributes to downsizing/weight reduction of units
  • Cams share the load evenly
→ Transmits assist force with high precision
  • Concentric retainer structure
→ Reduced frictional torque in idle rotation contributes to quieter operation and improved ride quality

Cam & Roller Type (Axial and radial load resistance) Under development

  • Bearing function included (axial and radial load resistance)
→ Can be used with helical gears, contributing to further downsizing and weight reduction of the unit
  • Cams share the load evenly
→ Transmits assist force with high precision.
  • Concentric retainer structure
→ Reduced frictional torque in idle rotation contributes to quieter operation and improved ride quality
