Strategic Acquisition of a Manufacturing Company in Germany

December 16, 2024

Tsubakimoto Chain Co. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Takatoshi Kimura) is pleased to announce the signing of a share transfer agreement with EUROCATENA GmbH, a company based in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, specializing in the manufacturing of large size conveyor chains. This strategic initiative aims to enhance the manufacturing and sales of industrial steel chains across Europe. Effective December 31, 2024, EUROCATENA GmbH will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Europe B.V. (TEU), a 100% owned subsidiary of Tsubakimoto Chain Co.

Background of the Acquisition

The Tsubakimoto Chain Group has traditionally supplied industrial chains to the European market through exports from Japan. To meet the growing demand for timely delivery and responsive customer service, particularly for custom-designed large size conveyor chains, the Group has sought to establish a manufacturing base in Europe.

With this acquisition, the Group will establish a manufacturing base in Germany, a key hub of industrial activity, complementing existing facilities in Japan, the U.S., and China. This milestone strengthens our ability to provide tailored, high-quality conveyor chains quickly, supporting our global growth strategy and expanding our presence in the European market.

Tsubakimoto Chain Group remains committed to tackling global challenges and delivering superior products and services to customers worldwide.
