Furthering the Development of Global Markets:
Establishment of a New Representative Office in South Africa

March,17,2025

Tsubakimoto Chain Co. (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President and Representative Director: Takatoshi Kimura; hereinafter referred to as“Tsubaki”) has established a new office staffed by expatriate employees in Johannesburg, the Republic of South Africa (hereinafter referred to as“South Africa”). Operations at the new office will begin on April 1.
As part of its Mid-term Management Plan 2025, ending in FY2025, the Tsubaki Group is focused on strengthening market development—particularly in regions where the Group’s market share is relatively low—in line with efforts to expand global sales.
Tsubakimoto Europe B.V. has been in charge of the African continent for some time, and with the opening of the new representative office, the Group hopes to strengthen market research in the sub-Saharan Africa* region—including South Africa, where economic growth is expected against a backdrop of population growth—and expand its global business market.
*Sub-Saharan Africa: The region south of the Sahara Desert on the African continent.
