Featuring a streamlined design, this clutch system switches between 1-way lock mode and 2-way free mode by externally controlling the cam orientation.
In 2-way free mode, the selector disengages the cam, allowing the inner ring to rotate freely without contact—significantly reducing drag torque during idle or coasting conditions.
This mechanism contributes to energy-saving performance and supports high drivetrain efficiency in electrified vehicles.
